Keeping that in mind, the stage 2 ECU remap for the VW Golf 7 2.0 TDI delivers huge torque gains over the stock map. Being a diesel engine, fuel economy remains excellent and city driving is immensely improved. According to the manufacturer, the Bluemotion 2.0 TDI engine delivers approximately 110kW at the flywheel.
We’re big fans of the 1.0-litre engine in the Mk8 Golf, and it’s just as good in eTSI form with the additional 48V mild-hybrid assist. The 1.5-litre TSI comes in both 128bhp and 148bhp setups.
Stage 1 itself is faster than almost all cars that we encounter on our roads. I have seen stage 2 diesel builds fuming smokes and also affecting the reliability. Also the gains after stage 1 really doesn’t justify the cost. Why don’t you look at other mods like suspension, alloys etc. I have a TDI MT and done below mods - Stage 1 tune
